Charge All Charger

Have you ever been in a situation when you have been running around all day and have not had the chance to plug your smart phone in and you are "in the red" your battery is dying and every email you get or reply to gets you closer to the sudden shut down. Once that happens you feel lost, you have grown to depend on that little piece of technology to get you through the day, your appointments, your contact and even how to find the nearest Starbucks!

The Anticipation is Killing me

Just like a little boy waiting to open up his Christmas gift I am just dying with anticipation. Anticipation that I am on a four month countdown that I will be saying "I do" anticipation for the Thanksgiving dinner, to see family and friends. The list can go on and on. But I was suppose to be in trial last week but we got continued and then another one for this week got continued. Now we have 5 jury trials scheduled for January, yeah I know something is going to have to happen. No way we fit that all into one month. I have complete set of equipment along with the back up for each set. but that still leaves us with 3 more trials to fill. Needless to say the courthouse on Hill Street will be seeing a lot of me and my traveling TV in the year 2014.

One Month Trial - the crash

Our Firms trial team recently finished a four week trial and I was able to learn so much from it as I do from every trial. While gone for such a long time ones personal details are left to fend for themselves. imagine having to get suits, shirts and ties cleaned and steamed during the weekend and still having to work. Bills go unpaid, hours of sleep go neglected and friendships get distant. Luckily I have the best fiancé in the world that understands and is very supportive of me. we have made a great team and she has helped me, she has stayed

Runner/Cyclist vs Drivers

It happens every-time I go running on the town. Drivers almost hit me!! This one time I even did a hood slide like Bo Duke on Avenue K when a car was turning right and did not notice me nor the green man giving me a right of way and essentially a red turn arrow for him. The look on his face was priceless! Gladly I was not hurt and the look on his passenger was also priceless!! He ended up pulling in to the next shopping center to no doubt let the fear subside.

3 Short iPhone Tips I learned Today

Read Selected Text – When would you rather listen than read? Like when you’re driving or at the gym, maybe when you don't wanna strain your eyes reading a long article or email? Go to Settings > General > Accessibility and turn on “Speak Selection.” When you select a body of text, a “Speak” option appears in the pop-up menu. Enjoy. works best if in a quit environment or using headphones.

Holiday Safety Tips

Hello family and friends in the spirit of Christmas I wanted to share these tips given by the LAPD. It saddens me to say that even though the Christmas season is that of rejoicing and charity and giving there are those out there willing to use the goodness of others as an opportunity to take advantage of their fellow humans. Remember people know you are shopping for gift during this time and that you have more money in accounts and in hand than normal so you can but gift for loved one. Please take some time to read this.

The following Holiday Safety Tips were compiled, in cooperation with the LAPD Crime Prevention Section, to contribute to the safety and security of people during the holiday season. The holiday season is always a special time of year. It is also a time when busy people become careless and vulnerable to theft and other holiday crime. We can never be too careful, too prepared or too aware. Please share this information with family, friends and neighbors. The Los Angeles Police Department wishes you a safe, happy and peaceful holiday season.

Brown Bag 'N It!

We have all been there, you are standing in line to the most tolerable restaurant that is in a close proximity to your office. As you approach you are greeted with a "your usual?". You almost zombie like hand the your Visa card over to the overworked underpaid employee and realize you just paid another $11.35 for your lunch, drink and the inevitable crash to come. You take the greased stained bag or Styrofoam box back to your break room and think man I need to change my eating habits and I need to stop paying so much for my lunches.

Nike FuelBand Review

I have been wearing my Nike Fuel band since April now and I am pretty confident in saying it is by far the best fitness tracking device I have invested in. I have tried other apps other devices and by far Nike comes out on top. Not to say that it is perfect, it still has some tweaks it needs to workout within its own Eco-system of apps and measuring. Read my initial thoughts here. Also a previous post about my use of my band at Disneyland here!

IF MY KID GOES TO COLLEGE IS HE STILL COVERED UNDER MY CAR INSURANCE POLICY?

Posted on Aug 31, 2012 8:53am PDT on R Rex Parris Legal Blog

This is the time of year when parents are doing last-minute preparations for sending their kids off to college. Here at R. Rex Parris Law Firm, we've seen our share of our colleagues' children make the big leap to college—many of them either taking a car with them, or commuting by car to an in-state school.
